The Cape Cod Viewfinders Camera Club promotes the study, understanding, improvement and enjoyment of photography. Whether you are interested in Nature, Landscape, Iphone, Street, Portrait, Floral, Drone, Architectural, Black and White, or any other genre of photography, you will find here a friendly and welcoming group of creative people passionate about their craft. CCVF members generously share their expertise with each other.
Photographers of every skill level, from newest beginners to most advanced amateurs and working professionals, enjoy our rich and diverse educational program. We also engage in competitions and other activities which let us share our images and experiences. Competitions are judged by outside experts in photography.
Highlights of membership include in-depth presentations, club and interclub competitions, slide shows, critique nights, member exhibits, and special events. Our recent speakers included Billy Weiss, Director of Photography for the Red Sox, Matt Kosklowski on Lightroom, Rad Drew on Topaz Software, Debra Boucher discussing macro photography in your own backyard, and Peter Christophe, the "owl whisperer" on Bird Photography.
The Viewfinders Club frequently garners honors in external competitions (we currently are the top US club in our class in the Photographic Society of America’s Projected Image Division). Many of our members have won top international, national, and regional honors in PSA and the New England Council of Camera Clubs. You will find our work represented in regional publications, and our members are frequently sought out to document area cultural and conservation happenings.
Meetings are on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Prior to Covid, we met at Brooks Library on the corner of Rte. 39 and Bank Street in Harwich Center. Currently, we Zoom!
Virtual doors open at 6:30 pm, and meetings start at 7:00 pm. GUESTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME. Please email our membership chair if you would like to join us for a meeting: Betsey Strum email@example.com
We are a member of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and the New England Camera Club Council (NECCC).
