Meeting Content

Meetings typically are held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from September through May. The meetings are open to the community and are free.  In months where there is a fifth Wednesday, there may be additional meetings.

The first meeting of each month is an educational meeting. These begin at 6:30 p.m. with a short program led by members of the club. The short program is followed at 7:00 p.m. by announcements and a long program presented by an invited speaker.

The third Wednesdays of the month are the intra-club competitions. These meetings begin at 6:45 p.m. with announcements and the awarding of ribbons from previous competitions.  The competitions themselves begin about 7:00 p.m. (Note: There is no competition in December. )

Parking

The Brooks Library graciously allows us to meet at the facility, but asks that we leave certain parking places in the rear main lot vacant until 7:00 p.m. for regular library patrons.  The embargoed spaces for people attending our meetings are the 3 spaces immediately to the right of the rear door as you look at it, plus the several places adjoining the building on the left side All other places are available for your use. If the lot is filled, there are a few places on the street or you can park in the large Town Hall lot across Main Street.  Before every meeting, two of our members will be stationed at the door to answer questions and to remind those in attendance about the parking agreement.

Setup

The downstairs meeting room takes a while to set up the room before the meetings. We try to get in as early as possible, but we are not guaranteed access to the room until 6:15, so we would appreciate a few people coming early to help set up. The same goes for putting the room back as it was after the meeting, something the library requires us to do.
