FEBRUARY 2012 ANNUAL JURIED PRINT CONTEST
Our 15th annual juried photographic print contest is on display throughout the month of February in the prestigious Creative Arts Center, located at 154 Crowell Road in Chatham. The exhibit includes 208 entries from 88 non-club members, representing 14 Cape towns and 5 off-Cape towns. (The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Shiv Verma, MNEC, judged the exhibit. He is a photographer,
educator, and technologist. Over the years, he has evolved his photography to express his intense devotion to wildlife and nature. He has earned numerous awards and recognition, both nationally and internationally. Shiv belongs to multiple photographic clubs and associations and serves as Chairman of the Nature Division, PSA (Photographic Society of America); Director of the instructional and essay sets, PSA; Member of the Board of CIPNE (Commercial and Industrial Photographers of New England); and Vice President of the Digital Circuit NECCC (New England Camera Club Council). Shiv is a past president of the Stony Brook Camera Club and the Gateway Camera Club, and is a member of the Greater Lynn Photographic Association and the Massachusetts Camera Naturalists. Shiv, as the chairperson, conducts the world’s largest nature and wildlife photographic competition / exhibition for the Photographic Society of America’s annual international.

A reception was held on Sunday, February 5th, from 3 – 5 p.m. at the Creative Arts Center when cash prizes and ribbons for First,Second, and Third place winners, as well as ribbons for 16 images earning Honorable Mention, were awarded as follows:
